All things CBD

CBD is cannabidiol, one of several compounds called cannabinoids found in cannabis of which THC is also a member. Unlike THC, CBD does not have psychoactive properties. In other words, in its pure form, it won’t get you “high.” CBD does have medicinal properties, however. For example, multiple clinical trials have shown CBD to be an effective treatment for certain types of childhood epilepsy (1). Other studies suggest, CBD in conjunction with THC can be used to help treat pain associated with multiple sclerosis. Though their are few definitive studies on other medicinal effects of CBD, it is gaining popularity for its anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-nausea, and analgesic properties.
